Overview of the Position

The Joinery – Estimator is directly responsible for creating quotations for the Estimating function. Also, to contribute to the continual development of estimating activities – quotations, cost comparison, obtaining pricing from suppliers and administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs and resources required for the projects, ensuring competitive and profitable bids.

Key Responsibilities

As an Estimator, you will be in charge for the following responsibilities:

  • Project Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for joinery projects, including materials, labor, and time requirements.
    • Review and interpret architectural drawings and specifications to develop accurate estimates.
    • Ensure all estimates comply with industry standards and quality requirements.
    • Engage with clients to understand their requirements, provide expert advice, and offer cost-effective solutions.
  • Supplier Coordination: Source and negotiate with suppliers for the best prices on materials and ensure timely delivery
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and ensure projects stay within financial constraints.
  • Bid Preparation: Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals for new
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of estimates, contracts, and project
  • Market Research: Stay updated on market trends and material costs in joinery and woodworking industries
